According to Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report ~ who seems to be the only one paying attention to the actual tally, now that the election is over:

"President Obama currently leads Mitt Romney by 3.18 percentage points (50.75 percent to 47.57 percent), and just recently extended total vote lead versus Romney to over four million voters."

Only Republicons experiencing delusions from overlong immersion in their partisan pre-election bubble chamber punditry should have been surprised. Two weeks past the outcome, and there are still few signs that sufficient oxygen has been restored to the bubble chamber to allow them to begin correctly diagnosing their failures. Throwing bones to Hispanics vis-a-vis immigration reform, or hand-waving gestures towards changing their tone towards the GLBT community and/or single women, will not be enough to recussitate their brand. Only an honest, critical re-thinking of their long-held policy beliefs will suffice.

It's the middle class, stupid.

Bozat, The Laughing Prophethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10798722678204971908noreply@blogger.com
